In a nutshell, Addio is a unique software created to bring a seamless workflow experience to the invoice factoring industry. While creating Addio software, we kept in mind its ultimate goal: allowing users to focus on their work without worries about technicalities.

Introduction.

At 2am.tech we’ve been working with clients from various industries and we know that each client is unique, with pain points of their own. We try and determine what those pain points are right in the beginning so that we can address them as soon as possible and make sure that the final product has them covered.

As it often is the case with our clients, the people from Addio came to 2am.tech on a word-of-mouth basis; At the time, they were interviewing other companies, but after a conversation that Mike (Strato Pay) and Rachel (Addio) had with 2am.tech co-founders, Matthew and Antonio, they realized that we would be a good fit.

Lightweight Experience.

Our clients understood the shortcomings of using old systems to run invoice factoring businesses. The lack of comprehensiveness and the necessity to supplement the holes in old solutions with other products significantly disturbed the workflow. This isn’t a standalone case. Most companies in the invoice factoring business deal with these exact problems and have been doing so for years, if not decades.

Having to bounce out of the system to go search for something else, and then coming back in, became the norm in the invoice factoring business. That is the case even when one is working with new, cloud-based solutions. Nothing changed for years! However, Rachel and Mike decided to say  ‘Addio’ to all that hassle and come up with a more practical solution. The mission of our cooperation was to create a software solution that would address all those challenges.

I mean, if you think about all the integrations and APIs, you have to have an extremely good understanding, support, and a solution-oriented approach. After many years of work with different companies from all kinds of industries, we learned that solving only the major challenges sometimes may not be enough. Regarding Addio, we quickly understood that the greatest challenge was the fact that old habits die hard.

“The real challenge is convincing the company that has used its software for twenty years to migrate its entire portfolio over to a system that is new. Also, that’s a lot of historical data that they wonder what they’re going to do with, and then an entire team of people that are going to have to learn a new system.”

Making changes isn’t always the easiest thing in the world, especially when you’re used to doing things a certain way for years. That’s why we always try to make the implementation process as easy as possible. Knowing this, we wanted to make sure that our clients have our support in every step - from customer onboarding to continuous use of the software.

“The team supported the implementation throughout the entire thing by strategizing about how to do it. They had to go in and look at the data that we were talking about that we needed to move over or accommodate for, and they helped through the entire process - and then with initial testing and feedback. They’ve been responsive on every step of the process because it was a big adjustment.”
