We are looking for a SQL Developer (Contract) to join our team.

If you enjoy building your portfolio and working on challenging projects, we have a gig for you! We are searching for SQL developers (contractors) with 5+ years of professional experience to join our team of experts for a 4-month period! We are offering the chance to work on a large-scale project and be surrounded by some of the most experienced developers across the globe! And, if your expertise blows us away, and our projects grow with you, we will consider prolonging your contract and have you join our team for good!

As SQL Developer (Contract) you are responsible for:

  • Clearly communicate complex concepts verbally in English.
  • Be able to significantly overlap or fully work in North American time zones. These are the times the clients’ teams are working, and to be part of those teams, you need to share some hours.
  • Respect deadlines and work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Assess new technologies and trends correctly.
  • Working from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm EDT, on-call rotation with the IT team.
  • Consulting with large enterprises and/or large-in-scope team projects.
  • Working with large databases and business-critical applications.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as SQL Developer, working with T/SQL, PL/SQL, or Snowflake SQL.
  • Capable of understanding current SQL logic on SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, and translating that logic to Snowflake SQL (DML,DDL, DQL, Stored Procedures, Views, Functions).
  • Good to have: Git knowledge with ability to version code.
  • Must have experience working on the various teams (vs. working alone).
  • Nice to have Liquibase knowledge, to be able to work with it to deploy new code.
  • SQL Server Integration Service knowledge, to understand current implementations and translate that to Snowflake.
  • Snowflake experience is a big plus.
  • Nice to have hands on experience working in AWS and AWS Data Migration Service experience.
  • Experience with agile tools and methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Confluence, JIRA)
